How to Cancel Apple Music Subscription | एप्पल म्यूजिक सब्सक्रिप्शन कैसे रद्द करें

Apple Music subscriptions automatically renew every month. This comprehensive guide covers all methods to cancel Apple Music based on how you subscribed — whether directly through Apple, iOS devices, Android, or third-party providers.

Key Information: Canceling stops future charges but lets you keep Apple Music access until the end of your current billing period. Your playlists and library are saved for re-activation.

1. Canceling via iPhone/iPad Settings (Recommended)

For subscriptions made through Apple ID:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select Apple Music
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

Note: You can continue listening to Apple Music until the current billing cycle ends. Check the expiry date on the subscription page.

2. Canceling via Apple Music App

Using the Apple Music application:

  1. Open the Apple Music app
  2. Tap your profile icon or Account
  3. Tap Subscriptions or go to Account Settings
  4. Select Apple Music and follow cancellation steps

3. Canceling via Web (Mac / Windows / Browser)

Cancel from any device using a browser:

  1. Go to music.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID
  2. Click your account name → Account Settings
  3. Scroll to Subscriptions section
  4. Click Manage next to Apple Music → Cancel Subscription

4. Canceling via Android (Google Play)

For subscriptions purchased through Android/Google Play:

  1. Open Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions
  3. Select Apple Music
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm

5. Canceling via Third-Party Providers

For subscriptions through Jio, Airtel, or other telecom/partners:

  1. Check payment method in your Apple ID or provider app
  2. Contact the third-party provider through their app or customer care
  3. Verify cancellation status in Apple Music account

Critical: Third-party subscriptions cannot be canceled directly through Apple. Refund policies vary by provider.

6. Canceling Bank-Linked Autopay

If charges still appear after cancellation:

  1. Log in to your bank's internet banking or mobile app
  2. Go to Standing Instructions or Auto-Debit Mandates
  3. Find and cancel the Apple Music / Apple ID mandate
  4. Contact bank support if needed

Important Notes

  • Refunds: Apple typically does not offer refunds for partial months unless due to billing errors
  • Access: You keep full Apple Music access until the current billing cycle ends
  • Verification: Always check confirmation email and Subscriptions page in Settings
  • India Plans: Individual (₹99/month), Student (₹49/month), Family (₹149/month), Apple One bundles available

Troubleshooting

If Autopay Still Deducts Money:

  • Double-check cancellation in Apple ID Subscriptions
  • Verify and cancel any active bank mandates
  • Contact Apple Support and dispute the charge

If You Can't Find Cancel Option:

  • Ensure you are signed in with the correct Apple ID
  • Check if subscription is through a Family Sharing organizer
  • Try canceling from a different device or browser

Contacting Apple Support

  • Website: support.apple.com
  • Phone (India): 000-800-100-9009 (toll-free)
  • Chat/Support App: Available in Apple Support app

Alternatives to Canceling

  • Downgrade: Switch to a cheaper plan or Student plan
  • Pause: Not available for Apple Music (full cancellation required)
  • Remove Payment Method: Delete saved card after canceling

Consider switching to a Family plan or Apple One bundle to reduce monthly costs instead of completely canceling.
