Key Information: As of 2024, Disney+ Hotstar has officially merged with JioCinema in India. The Hotstar app and website now redirect users to JioCinema. If you have an active Hotstar Premium subscription, it has been migrated to JioCinema Premium. All cancellations must now be managed through JioCinema or your original billing platform. Your watchlist, viewing history, and downloaded content are accessible through JioCinema until your billing period ends.

1. Canceling via JioCinema Website (India Users)

Since Hotstar has merged with JioCinema in India, the primary method to cancel is through the JioCinema website:

  1. Visit www.jiocinema.com on your browser and sign in with your registered account
  2. Click your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select Settings or My Account
  4. Tap or click Subscription or Manage Plan
  5. Select Cancel Subscription or Deactivate Plan
  6. Follow the on-screen confirmation prompts to complete cancellation

Note: After canceling, JioCinema will display the exact date until which you have access to all Premium content. A confirmation message or email will be sent to your registered contact. No further charges will be made after this date.

2. Canceling via JioCinema or Hotstar Mobile App

To cancel your Hotstar Premium or JioCinema subscription through the mobile app on your smartphone:

  1. Open the JioCinema app (formerly Hotstar) on your Android or iOS device
  2. Tap your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Settings or My Account
