How to Cancel YouTube TV Premium Features | यूट्यूब टीवी प्रीमियम फीचर्स कैसे बंद करें

YouTube TV offers several optional Premium Features and add-ons that can be added to your base YouTube TV membership for an additional monthly charge. These include 4K Plus, Unlimited Streams, and various premium channel add-ons such as HBO Max, Showtime, Starz, and Sports Plus. This comprehensive guide covers all methods to cancel specific YouTube TV Premium Features and add-ons without necessarily canceling your entire YouTube TV base membership.

Key Information: Canceling a YouTube TV Premium Feature or add-on stops future charges for that specific feature but your base YouTube TV membership remains active and continues to bill normally. You retain access to the canceled Premium Feature until the end of the current billing cycle. Each add-on must be canceled individually — canceling one does not affect others.

1. Canceling via YouTube TV Website

The most reliable method to cancel YouTube TV Premium Features directly through the website:

  1. Visit tv.youtube.com on your browser and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu
  4. Click on Membership in the left sidebar
  5. Scroll down to find the Add-Ons or Premium Features section
  6. Click Manage next to the specific Premium Feature you want to cancel
  7. Select Remove Add-On or Cancel Feature
  8. Follow the on-screen confirmation prompts to complete the cancellation

Note: After canceling a Premium Feature, YouTube TV will display the exact date until which you have access to that feature. A confirmation email from Google will be sent to your registered email address. Your base YouTube TV membership remains completely unaffected.

2. Canceling 4K Plus Add-On

The 4K Plus add-on allows streaming in 4K Ultra HD resolution, unlimited simultaneous streams at home, and the ability to download content for offline viewing. To cancel specifically:

  1. Visit tv.youtube.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click your Profile IconSettings
  3. Click Membership in the left sidebar
  4. Scroll to the Add-Ons section and locate 4K Plus
  5. Click Manage → select Remove Add-On
  6. Confirm the cancellation when prompted

Important: After canceling 4K Plus, your YouTube TV streams will revert to standard HD quality. If you were using unlimited simultaneous streams at home, you will return to the default 3 simultaneous stream limit. Any content previously downloaded for offline viewing will also become inaccessible after the billing period ends.

3. Canceling Premium Channel Add-Ons (HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc.)

YouTube TV offers several premium channel add-ons that can be removed individually without affecting your base membership or other add-ons:

  1. Visit tv.youtube.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click your Profile IconSettings
  3. Select Membership from the left sidebar
  4. Scroll down to the Add-Ons section
  5. Find the specific premium channel you want to remove — such as HBO Max, Showtime, Starz, MGM+, or Epix
  6. Click Manage next to the channel name
  7. Select Remove Add-On and confirm

Note: Each premium channel add-on must be canceled separately. Removing one channel add-on does not affect any other active add-ons on your account. You will retain access to the removed channel until the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Canceling Sports Add-Ons (Sports Plus, NBA League Pass, etc.)

YouTube TV offers sports-specific add-ons including Sports Plus, NBA League Pass, and MLB.TV. To cancel a sports add-on:

  1. Visit tv.youtube.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click your Profile IconSettings
  3. Click Membership in the left sidebar
  4. Scroll to the Add-Ons section and find the sports add-on you want to cancel
  5. Click Manage → select Remove Add-On
  6. Confirm the cancellation when prompted

Important: Some sports add-ons such as NBA League Pass and MLB.TV may have season-specific billing terms and early cancellation restrictions. Review the terms of your specific sports add-on before canceling to understand if any early termination conditions apply to your subscription.

5. Canceling via YouTube TV Mobile App

To cancel YouTube TV Premium Features through the mobile app on your Android or iOS device:

  1. Open the YouTube TV app on your smartphone or tablet
  2. Tap your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Select Membership
  5. Scroll down to the Add-Ons or Premium Features section
  6. Tap Manage next to the specific feature or add-on you want to cancel
  7. Tap Remove Add-On and confirm the cancellation

Note: If you originally subscribed to a Premium Feature through Google Play Store or Apple App Store, the YouTube TV app will redirect you to the respective platform to manage and cancel the add-on. Follow the platform-specific steps in the sections below.

6. Canceling via Google Play Store (Android)

For YouTube TV Premium Features originally subscribed through Google Play Store on Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device
  2. Tap your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Go to Payments & SubscriptionsSubscriptions
  4. Find and tap YouTube TV or the specific add-on from the active subscriptions list
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription or Manage Subscription
  6. Select the specific Premium Feature to cancel
  7. Select a reason and confirm the cancellation

To Cancel Google Pay Autopay Mandate for Add-Ons:

  1. Open the Google Pay app on your Android device
  2. Tap your Profile IconManage Autopay
  3. Locate the YouTube TV or Google mandate in the active mandates list
  4. Tap Manage → select Revoke or Cancel Mandate
  5. Confirm the revocation when prompted

Important: Revoking only the Google Pay autopay mandate does not cancel your YouTube TV Premium Feature subscription. You must also cancel the subscription from Google Play Store to fully stop future charges. Always complete both steps to ensure no further deductions are made from your account.

7. Canceling via Apple App Store (iOS)

For YouTube TV Premium Features originally subscribed through Apple App Store on iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID / Name at the top of the screen
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Locate the specific YouTube TV Premium Feature or add-on from the active subscriptions list
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm when prompted

Note: YouTube TV Premium Feature subscriptions billed through Apple cannot be canceled via the YouTube TV website or app. Any refund requests for Apple-billed add-ons must be submitted through reportaproblem.apple.com.

8. Canceling Unlimited Streams Feature

The Unlimited Streams feature (part of 4K Plus) allows more than 3 simultaneous streams within your home network. If you want to cancel only this feature:

  1. Visit tv.youtube.com and sign in
  2. Click your Profile IconSettingsMembership
  3. Locate 4K Plus in the Add-Ons section — Unlimited Streams is bundled within this add-on
  4. Click Manage → select Remove Add-On
  5. Confirm the cancellation to remove both 4K streaming and Unlimited Streams together

Note: Unlimited Streams is not available as a standalone feature — it is exclusively bundled within the 4K Plus add-on. Canceling 4K Plus will remove both 4K quality streaming and the unlimited simultaneous streams capability at the same time.

9. Canceling Bank-Linked Autopay for Premium Features

If YouTube TV Premium Feature charges continue even after canceling through the steps above:

  1. Log in to your bank's internet banking portal or mobile banking app
  2. Navigate to Standing Instructions or Auto-Debit Mandates
  3. Locate the YouTube TV or Google mandate in the active mandates list
  4. Cancel or revoke the mandate immediately
  5. Contact your bank's customer support if you are unable to locate or cancel the mandate

Important Notes

  • Base Membership Unaffected: Canceling any Premium Feature or add-on does not cancel your base YouTube TV membership — it continues to bill separately at the standard rate
  • Individual Cancellation: Each Premium Feature and add-on must be canceled individually — there is no single option to remove all add-ons at once
  • Refunds: YouTube TV generally does not offer refunds for partially used Premium Feature billing periods except in cases of verified billing errors
  • Access: You retain full access to the canceled Premium Feature until the end of the current billing cycle
  • 4K Plus Pricing (US): 4K Plus is available at $9.99/month as an add-on to the base YouTube TV plan
  • DVR Impact: Canceling 4K Plus also removes the ability to download content for offline DVR viewing — cloud DVR recordings remain unaffected
  • Verification: Always check for a confirmation email from Google after canceling any YouTube TV Premium Feature or add-on
  • Re-adding Features: Canceled Premium Features can be re-added at any time from the Membership section in YouTube TV settings

Troubleshooting

If the Remove Add-On Option is Not Visible:

  • Ensure you are signed in with the correct Google account used for the YouTube TV subscription
  • Check if the Premium Feature was subscribed through Google Play Store or Apple App Store — the billing source will be indicated in the Membership section
  • Try accessing the Membership page from a desktop browser instead of the mobile app for better visibility of all options
  • Disable any VPN, browser extensions, or ad-blockers that may interfere with the Membership management page

If Charges for a Canceled Add-On Continue:

  • Verify the cancellation status under Settings → Membership → Add-Ons on the YouTube TV website
  • Check if the add-on was subscribed through Google Play or Apple App Store and is still active on those platforms
  • Review your Google Pay autopay mandates and revoke the YouTube TV mandate if still active
  • Contact YouTube TV Support and raise a billing dispute with your bank if charges persist after confirmed cancellation

If 4K Streaming Still Works After Canceling 4K Plus:

  • This is expected — you retain 4K Plus access until the end of the current billing cycle
  • Verify the cancellation date shown in your YouTube TV Membership settings
  • After the billing period ends, streams will automatically revert to standard HD quality
  • Contact YouTube TV Support if 4K Plus access continues beyond the stated expiry date

If a Sports Add-On Cannot Be Canceled Mid-Season:

  • Some sports add-ons have season-lock terms that prevent mid-season cancellation
  • Review the specific terms of your sports add-on in the Membership section
  • Contact YouTube TV Support to understand your cancellation options and any applicable terms
  • Note the renewal date and set a reminder to cancel before the next season billing begins

Alternatives to Canceling Premium Features

  • Pause the Add-On: If you need a temporary break from a Premium Feature, cancel it now and re-add it when needed — your base membership and DVR recordings remain unaffected
  • Keep Only Essential Add-Ons: Review all active add-ons under Settings → Membership and remove only the ones you use least frequently to reduce your monthly bill
  • Subscribe Seasonally: For sports add-ons like NBA League Pass or MLB.TV, subscribe only during the active season and cancel during the off-season to save money year-round
  • Use Free Trials: When re-adding a previously canceled Premium Feature, check if a free trial is available before committing to the full monthly charge
  • Switch to Base Plan Only: If add-ons make YouTube TV too expensive, consider running the base membership alone — it still provides 100+ live channels and unlimited cloud DVR storage

Before canceling all Premium Features, review your Settings → Membership → Add-Ons page carefully to identify which features you actually use regularly. Removing only the unused add-ons while keeping the ones you watch frequently is a smarter way to reduce your YouTube TV monthly bill without losing access to content you value.
