How to Cancel Instagram Paid Subscription (Creators) | इंस्टाग्राम पेड सब्सक्रिप्शन कैसे बंद करें

Instagram allows users to subscribe to their favorite creators for exclusive content, badges, and stories. These subscriptions renew automatically every month. This comprehensive guide covers all methods to cancel an Instagram paid creator subscription based on how you originally subscribed — through iOS, Android, or the web.

Key Information: Canceling an Instagram creator subscription stops future charges but allows you to access the subscribed content until the end of the current billing period. Your subscription history is saved in case you wish to resubscribe later.

1. Canceling via Instagram App (Android)

For subscriptions made through the Instagram app on Android:

  1. Open the Instagram app and tap your Profile icon
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top-right corner
  3. Go to Settings and privacySubscriptions
  4. Find the creator subscription you want to cancel
  5. Tap ManageCancel Subscription and confirm

Note: You will continue to have access to the creator's exclusive content until the end of the current billing cycle. Check your subscription details for the exact end date.

2. Canceling via Instagram App (iOS / iPhone)

If you subscribed through the Instagram app on an iPhone or iPad, the billing is managed by Apple:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID / Name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find and select Instagram from the list
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm when prompted

Important: iOS subscriptions are billed through Apple and cannot be canceled from within the Instagram app or website. You must cancel through your iPhone/iPad Settings or the App Store.

3. Canceling via Google Play Store (Android)

If your Instagram subscription was processed through Google Play billing:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Go to Payments & SubscriptionsSubscriptions
  4. Find and select Instagram
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation steps

To Cancel Google Pay Autopay Mandate:

  1. Open the Google Pay app
  2. Navigate to Autopay or Manage Payments
  3. Locate the Instagram mandate and tap Remove / Cancel

4. Canceling via Instagram Website (Desktop)

To cancel through a web browser on desktop or mobile:

  1. Visit www.instagram.com and log in
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner
  3. Go to SettingsSubscriptions
  4. Select the creator subscription you wish to cancel
  5. Click ManageCancel Subscription and confirm

Note: Web-based cancellation may redirect you to the platform through which you originally subscribed (Apple or Google) if billing was handled by them.

5. Canceling via Third-Party or Telecom Providers

If your Instagram subscription was activated through Jio, Airtel, Vi, or any other telecom/third-party partner:

  1. Open your telecom provider's app or website (e.g., MyJio, Airtel Thanks)
  2. Navigate to My Plans or Subscriptions
  3. Find the Instagram creator subscription and select Cancel / Deactivate
  4. Verify the cancellation by checking your Instagram Subscriptions settings

Critical: Subscriptions activated via telecom or third-party providers cannot be canceled directly from Instagram. Refund and access policies vary by provider — contact them for clarification.

6. Canceling Bank-Linked Autopay / Standing Instructions

If automatic charges continue even after canceling, your bank may have an active mandate:

  1. Log in to your bank's internet banking portal or mobile app
  2. Navigate to Standing Instructions, SI Manager, or Auto-Debit Mandates
  3. Locate the Instagram or Meta Platforms mandate
  4. Select Cancel / Revoke and confirm
  5. Contact your bank's customer support if the option is not visible

Important Notes

  • Refunds: Instagram and Meta generally do not offer refunds for creator subscriptions unless there is a billing error
  • Access: You retain access to exclusive creator content until the current billing cycle ends
  • Verification: Always check for a confirmation email and review your Instagram Subscriptions page after canceling
  • India Pricing: Creator subscription prices vary per creator and are typically set between ₹89–₹899/month
  • Multiple Subscriptions: If you subscribe to multiple creators, each must be canceled individually

Troubleshooting

If Autopay Still Deducts Money After Cancellation:

  • Verify cancellation status under Instagram Settings → Subscriptions
  • Check for active mandates in your bank or Google Pay app
  • Dispute the charge with your bank and contact Instagram/Meta support

If You Cannot Find the Cancel Option:

  • Ensure you are logged into the correct Instagram account
  • Check if the subscription was made through a third-party provider (Apple, Google, Jio, etc.)
  • Try canceling from the platform used during original subscription
  • Contact Instagram support directly for assistance

If the Creator Has Disabled Subscriptions:

  • The subscription may have already ended automatically
  • Check your billing statement and Instagram account for active charges
  • Contact Instagram support if you are still being charged

Contacting Instagram Support

  • In-App Help: Instagram App → Settings → Help → Report a Problem
  • Website: help.instagram.com
  • Twitter / X: @InstagramComms
  • Meta Support: facebook.com/help (Meta handles Instagram billing issues)

Alternatives to Canceling

  • Pause Subscription: Some creators may allow a temporary pause — check the creator's subscription page for this option
  • Switch Creator: Unsubscribe from one creator and subscribe to another that offers better value
  • Follow for Free: You can still follow and view public content from a creator without a paid subscription
  • Remove Payment Method: After canceling, go to Instagram/Meta settings and delete your saved payment information for added security

Before canceling, consider whether the creator offers periodic free exclusive content or special offers to subscribers. Staying subscribed during active content drops may give you better value for your money.
