How to Cancel YouTube TV Subscription | यूट्यूब टीवी सब्सक्रिप्शन कैसे रद्द करें

YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service offering 100+ channels including sports, news, and entertainment. This comprehensive guide covers all methods to cancel your YouTube TV subscription across different devices and platforms, along with tips for managing your account after cancellation.

Key Information: Canceling YouTube TV stops future charges but you retain full access to all channels and features until the current billing period ends. Your DVR recordings and account preferences are saved for a limited time if you decide to reactivate later.

1. Canceling via YouTube TV Website

The most straightforward method to cancel YouTube TV directly through the website:

  1. Visit tv.youtube.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select Settings
  4. Click on Membership
  5. Under your plan, click Manage
  6. Select Cancel Membership
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts and confirm cancellation

Note: After canceling, your membership page will show the exact date until which you have access to YouTube TV. You will receive a confirmation email from Google.

2. Canceling via YouTube TV Mobile App

To cancel YouTube TV subscription through the mobile app on Android or iOS:

  1. Open the YouTube TV app on your smartphone
  2. Tap your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Select Membership
  5. Tap Manage under your current plan
  6. Tap Cancel Membership and confirm

Note: If you subscribed through Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS), you must cancel through that respective platform and not directly through the app.

3. Canceling via Google Play Store (Android)

For subscriptions originally purchased through Google Play:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device
  2. Tap your Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  3. Go to Payments & SubscriptionsSubscriptions
  4. Find and tap YouTube TV
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription
  6. Select a reason and confirm the cancellation

To Cancel Google Pay Autopay Mandate:

  1. Open the Google Pay app
  2. Tap your Profile IconManage Autopay
  3. Find the YouTube TV mandate and tap Manage
  4. Select Revoke or Cancel Mandate

Important: Revoking the Google Pay mandate alone does not cancel your YouTube TV subscription. Make sure to cancel the subscription from Google Play Store as well to stop future charges.

4. Canceling via Apple App Store (iOS)

For subscriptions originally purchased through Apple App Store on iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID / Name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select YouTube TV from the list
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm when prompted

Note: Subscriptions purchased via Apple are billed through your Apple ID. Refund requests for Apple-billed subscriptions must be submitted through reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Canceling via Smart TV or Streaming Device

If you subscribed to YouTube TV directly through a smart TV or streaming device:

  1. Open the YouTube TV app on your smart TV or streaming device
  2. Navigate to your Profile Icon or Account Settings
  3. Select Membership or Manage Subscription
  4. Choose Cancel Membership and follow the prompts

Note: If you subscribed through a Roku, Amazon Fire TV, or Samsung TV platform, you may need to cancel through that platform's subscription management section rather than through the YouTube TV app directly.

6. Canceling Add-On Channels

If you have premium add-ons like HBO Max, Showtime, or Sports Plus on YouTube TV, cancel them separately:

  1. Go to tv.youtube.com and sign in
  2. Click your Profile IconSettings
  3. Select Membership
  4. Scroll down to Add-ons section
  5. Click Manage next to each add-on
  6. Select Remove Add-On and confirm

Critical: Canceling the base YouTube TV membership does not automatically cancel paid add-ons. Cancel each add-on individually to avoid being charged separately after the base plan is canceled.

7. Canceling Bank-Linked Autopay

If charges continue even after canceling the subscription:

  1. Log in to your bank's internet banking portal or mobile app
  2. Navigate to Standing Instructions or Auto-Debit Mandates
  3. Find the YouTube TV or Google mandate and cancel it
  4. Contact your bank's customer support if you need assistance locating the mandate

Important Notes

  • Refunds: YouTube TV generally does not offer refunds for unused subscription time except in cases of billing errors
  • DVR Recordings: Your cloud DVR recordings may be deleted after your membership ends — download or note important content beforehand
  • Access: You retain full access to all channels and content until the end of the current billing period
  • YouTube TV Pricing (US): Base Plan starts at $72.99/month; pricing may vary by region and plan
  • Verification: Always check for a confirmation email from Google after canceling your membership
  • Reactivation: You can reactivate your YouTube TV subscription at any time using the same Google account

Troubleshooting

If You Can't Find the Cancel Option:

  • Make sure you are signed in with the correct Google account used for the subscription
  • Check if the subscription was purchased through Google Play, Apple, or a third-party platform
  • Try accessing settings through a desktop browser instead of the mobile app

If Charges Continue After Cancellation:

  • Verify cancellation status under Membership in YouTube TV settings
  • Check if there are active add-ons still billing separately
  • Review your Google Pay autopay mandates and revoke if necessary
  • Contact YouTube TV support and dispute the charge

If Cancellation Page Shows an Error:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies and try again
  • Try a different browser or device
  • Disable any VPN or ad-blocker that may interfere with the page
  • Contact YouTube TV support for manual cancellation assistance

Alternatives to Canceling

  • Pause Membership: YouTube TV allows you to pause your membership for up to 6 months — a great option if you need a temporary break
  • Remove Add-Ons: Cancel premium add-on channels to reduce your monthly bill without losing the base plan
  • Switch to YouTube Premium: If you primarily use YouTube and not live TV, consider switching to YouTube Premium for a lower monthly cost
  • Share with Family: YouTube TV allows up to 5 accounts in the same household — splitting the cost reduces your share of the bill

Before canceling, consider using the Pause Membership feature to temporarily suspend your subscription without losing your settings, DVR recordings, or account preferences. This is ideal if you plan to resubscribe in the near future.
